Documents Required at the Time of Selection and Appointment
Every selected candidate must produce the following documents:
- Certificate of last drawn salary for the previous three months from the former employer, or the corresponding three months’ bank statements.
- Two reference letters from educationists or reputable persons (not related to the candidate) certifying character and conduct to the satisfaction of the school authorities.
- Original degree/diploma certificates along with attested photocopies. Originals will be returned to the employee within three months after verification.
- Police verification certificate, domicile certificate and address proof (strongly recommended).
- In the event a selected candidate fails to join duty on the stipulated date after signing the contract or appointment letter, the candidate shall be liable to pay compensation equivalent to the loss incurred by the school on account of disruption of academic work and administrative time.
Selection Procedure:
- Written Screening Test: The test assesses handwriting, basic English proficiency, general attitude and worldview of the candidate, as well as subject competence.
- Demonstration Class and Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a demonstration lesson and an interview before the selection board. The board will evaluate subject knowledge, confidence, language proficiency, classroom management and related competencies. Date and time will be communicated in advance.
- Communication of Call Letters: Call letters for the interview and demonstration class will be sent only via the registered email address or WhatsApp number. Candidates must provide accurate contact details at the school front office.
- Submission of Documents: All candidates selected for the demonstration class must submit attested photocopies of educational certificates at least two working days prior to the interview and demonstration.
Evaluation Criteria :
Language and diction, clarity of thought, confidence, grooming and personal appearance, eye contact, subject knowledge and topic mastery, board/Flat Panel writing, tone and clarity of voice, and overall communication skills.
Expected Salary
Starting salary for Primary Teachers (PRT – Grades 1–8) is ₹26,000 per month. The final offer will vary according to competence, experience, qualifications, English proficiency and last drawn salary.
General Norms of Employment
- Initial appointment for the months of April and May shall be on an ad-hoc basis. From July onwards, a formal service contract of nine months will be executed (applicable to candidates selected for the new academic session).
- No paid casual leave shall be granted during the eleven months of the contract. Leave will not be sanctioned on examination days, PTM days or on days of important school events. Absence on such days, even in subsequent years, will be treated as leave without pay.
- Minimum duty hours on the school campus shall be seven hours. In addition, teachers are expected to devote one to two hours daily after school hours (at home) for lesson preparation, notebook correction and related academic work.
- Reporting time is tentatively 6:50 a.m. (subject to change according to school and class timings).
- Salary will be credited only to an account maintained with Canara Bank, Shastripuram Branch, on or before the 10th of every month (for the preceding month, excluding holiday periods).
- Female teachers shall wear the prescribed uniform saree. In the absence of a uniform, a saree of a similar colour shall be worn. Male employees shall maintain formal attire at all times and wear the designated school uniform.
- All teachers and employees must deposit their mobile phones in the designated area during duty hours.
- Candidates who consume gutka, pan or smoke will not be considered for employment.
- Candidates who have a close relative already employed in this institution are not eligible for appointment, as this is contrary to institutional policy. This restriction does not apply to outstation employees.
